New to the forums
What's up everyone, I am new to the forums and new to diesels in general. I have been in a F150 Lightning for the past 6 years and love the hell out of that truck, but I have to say I am really enjoying the 08 F250 I just picked up. I used the threads on here to make the decision to purchase a Mini Maxx, S&B intake and 5" flo-pro exhaust with 6" tip. I got to install the Mini Maxx and the intake today and that really woke the truck up. I didn't have time to do the exhaust yet but even the dpf present tunes made a big difference in the performance.
Thanks to everyone who's imput help me make my parts decision, I can't wait to get the exhaust swapped and crank the tune up. What's the most popular tune y'all are running for daily around town driving, once I change the exhaust? For fun and for mpg? |

I run the hot damn on wild with the S2L as a DD. I like it. It has good power and not too much smoke.

Welcome to the org! Good choice on the truck and components! I DD mine on Hot Dam 300 set on HOT, as this is the setting that i have found to give me best MPG. I would suggest running it on mild or wild for the first few weeks though, until you get the excitement out of your right foot! Its really hard not to drive like a mad man when you first put everything on, so I would do the "joy riding" on a lower HP tune just to go easier on your machine. Have fun with it, and once again Welcome!

welcome to the site! I had and still have an 03 Lightning. I swore that I would never sale it but after tuning my 250 I have toyed with the idea of letting the L go. I drove the L for the first time yesterday in about 3 months. Its fun to drive but it now seems so small and rides VERY rough! I know I would kick myself if I were to sale it... The L was my DD until I bought the 250 in 2010. I have only put about about 1,500 miles on the Lightning since then.
