Bed plate leak

So I changed my oil yesterday and saw some oil that I think is comming from the bed plate gasket. When I first bought the truck last year I changed the oil and noticed the same thing just not as bad. So I took the truck to the dealer and they said it was nothing and not to worry about it. It's not so bad that it drips but it is wet. My warranty runs out at the end of the month so do I convert back to stock and take it to the dealer or just live with it?

If it's under warranty it is your right to have it fixed. If they blow you off then go above them. Make sure it's not your cam or crank sensor o-rings leaking. I know it was a huge problem on the 6.0's but I have seen one or two leaking on a 6.4. The oil runs from front to back and can look like a bedplate leak.

My 08 F250 as well as a friend's 09 450 both showed signs of a bedplate leak around 20,000 miles. The dealer fixed both without a complaint. The charge they sent to Ford on my behalf was nearly $3800 for the repair and replacement of the old style radiator hoses that were leaking as well.

It will likely get worse, and you will come out of pocket for it after the warranty expires.

Get it fixed. You don't want to have to pay for this out of pocket...

Is it wet down the back of ur oil pan I might have the same problem. I noticed it when I was changing my oil

Yeah that is where i noticed it right down the back of the pan.

Mine only had 31,000 kilometers on it.

Mine is in the Shop right now as we speak getting the Back Plate Gasket replaced...under warranty..Thank God. When I went to check on it they where doing it without having to take the cab off.

get it fixed before you run out of warranty. don't let them blow you off.
