F350 DRW vs F450
I am wondering if any of you have owned both, and how do they compare in terms of ride, etc?
We have a 2004 F550 but its a 2wd and its heavy, loaded down with a service body, etc I had a 2003 F350 DRW and miss the phat look! |

If your just looking to ride to work and back the 450 in stock form is pretty brutal. Insurance is steeper on the 450 and fuel mileage is lower. The truck weighs in at 9900# for a crew cab 4x4. |

I sold an 08 F450 to buy an 08 F350 dually. The F450 while it could tow a house was over rated to tow what I was towing. I'm with in the limits of the F350.
If you buy an F450 make sure to get the 4.30 gears and not the 4.88 gears. I got 6.5 mpg with the F450 and the payment was more because a lot of banks thought it was commercial and since I don't have a business, struggled a bit to give me a loan...and the interest rate was higher. I didn't notice much difference at all between the other trucks. I rarely drive/drove them empty, I have a company car. The F350 is $150 less a month payment. F450 26k gross rated for 33k ![]() F350 25k gross rated for 27k ![]() mac 'now I tow a 48 foot enclosed with the F350' gyvr |

i have a 350 drw. would have prefered a 450 or even a 550. but the selection is not there. a lot of 4 and 550 are plane janes for work. as of right now, the 350 is working for me. but i would have gone up if the selection was there.
