Wix Fuel Filters

Does anyone have any experience with wix fuel filters? I need to change mine and I'm curious how they compare to the motorcraft filters. Thanks

Never used them before on my truck, but I've used them on boats. Decent filter. Now Ford seems to be funny with fuel filters if your truck ever has problems under warranty from older posts here on the forum. I personally use racor filters which are the same as motorcraft for a few bucks cheaper. Racor actually manufactures the motorcraft filters. Dieselfiltersonlinedotcom has pretty good prices for both racor and motorcraft. I change my oil every 5k and fuel filters usually every 10k so i'll usually order 2 oil and 1 fuel filter at a time.

I'd say the large majority of guys on here are pretty strict with only using Racor / Motorcraft fuel filters (that's all I'll use). For oil though I run Amsoil and run their high performace oil filter which they say is necessary to get the benefits of their synthetic oil.

Stick with racor or motorcraft if you under warranty and your dealership is picky if not I'm sure the wix would be fine
