Mine does it in the mornings when cold. Seems to do it in either direction. I was wondering if it's worth complaining about. It almost seems like a bad u-joint or something.

It's not as annoying as my ticking blend doors

Mine has the blend doors ticking and now the steering wheel too. I'm starting to hear ticks in my sleep.

So im guessing blend doors are a problem for these trucks. Same thing with our hummer, the gears inside are cheap plastic and strip out and I'm guessing you guys are hearing it jump teeth

Sorry, I don't have an answer....But my steering wheel does the same thing. I have had the dealer look at every time I bring it in for something else. I'm hoping that one of these times, they will figure it out???? Also, my blend doors are ticking too. They do not do it all the time, but it is p!ssing me off. If I change the temp, or switch the level of air flow it goes away...for awhile anyway. So does anyone know what the deal is with the blend doors? Will they fail, or is it just a noise?
