Going to look @ a 08 f250 4x4

I'm thinking about trading in my 04 f250 4x4 cc for a 08 f250 4x4 ccwith 32K miles on it. Are the 6.4's pron to the same HG, oil cooler problem like the 6.0's
If I keep my 6.0 then I'll have to due the head bolts, egr cooler, water pump and new injectors. It runs fine right now but that would be for long term. I currently have 177000 miles on it.

You will love the 6.4 . The trucks are night and day. If you end up getting it post a pic!

several threads comparing the 2 trucks.... most consider the 6.4 an improvment. i personally have owned both and think the 6.4 is the bomb.... with the money you want to bullet proof your 6.0 with you could do a full delete on that 6.4 and have a really nice ride.... oh and fast as chit as well.....

NO, the 6.4 headgaskets and studs are just fine, sure there is a bad apple in every batch, but they are not like the 6.0 and known for going out. you can tune and delete EGR and DPF for around 1800 tops and you will have a fast powerful reliable truck.

Id say do it, the 6.4 do not have the problems the 6.0s have. Yes there are a few people that have had the worste of luck with these trucks but there will be a few bad trucks with any truck

You wont be sorry if you get the 6.4. When i was looking for another diesel i was looking for a 7.3 and i found the 6.4 i have now pretty cheap so i bought it. My plan was to buy it and turn around and sell it and make some money off it. As soon as i started driving it around i knew i couldnt get rid of it. It has almost 200k now and still strong as EVER
