Question about Supplemental Heater

So I did that vin look up thing to get my original window sticker and their is a 250$ charge for a PTC supplemental heater.... Is this that electric rapid heater thing I have read about? If so... How rapid are we talking because it seems like mine takes quite a bit to start blowing nice warm air.....

How did you get your sticker again? I not too sure about that heater, It might be an electric boost heater of some sort!

My supplemental heater starts blowing warm air in about 90 seconds. Glad that I have it.

checked mine tonight it was well below 0 and i noticed that it worked if it was on number two setting and most noticeable on the face setting. if i cranked it up to number 4 the air was drastically cooler...this would have been nice to know over the past 4 winters ive owned the truck! I always left it on 4 and just kept turning it on to see if it was warm. hope this works for you too. It wasnt as hot as i would think but it was warm air coming out on the number too setting and if i turned it to 4 if was freezing

Live in Arizona so not that cold here in the winter. Mine blows warm in about 1 1/2 minute as well. Never would have thought I needed one in AZ but sure is nice not waiting on truck to warm up to have heat. Neighbor has 7.3 and takes 10 min to warm up
