Cutting Tailpipe..Is It Necessary For Tip?

I want to put a tip on my tailpipe to extend it out just an inch or so to keep some of the black off of the corner of the bumper. Do I need to cut the tailpipe or will the tip just slide over the tailpipe and tighten the clamp down?

Mine just slid over the existing pipe and secured with a clamp. You may need to cut the pipe back though so you don't see a ton of it inside your tip. I probably cut several inches off the end of my pipe when I installed it. Before you do anything, slide the new tip on and get it where you want it, then take a few steps back and see what it looks like. If you see a lot of pipe I'd cut it back some, but the finished look is up to you!!
