seat belt trying to kill me

Ive got an 08 f350 xl drw. when hauling a 40 ft gooseneck, even the smallest pebble in the road will make the seat belt lock up. It seems to be way too sensitive.

It has gotten so bad that i was eating a cracker, it locked up on me and caused me to choke, i reached for a bottle of water and it would not let me even after several tried to release it.

I had to unbucle it to get the water.
When I went to put it back on, i couldnt get it to pull out far enough to buckle for almost a mile.

With the trailer its not a rough ride at all, but even at times without the trailer it will do the same.

Is my truck trying to kill me or are all of these trucks related to Chistine?

Mine is pretty sensitive also. Bumps in the road will set it off if they are consistent. Sometimes it's just safer to not wear it. No chime or warning in mine because I disabled it.

I would "not" wear it but I only drive mine for work and the state troopers stare me down enough with the loads I haul.

Mines fine even when pulling the 43 foot, 18k pound fiver around. I believe the seat belts and other safety related items have a longer warranty period than the standard 3/36, give ford a call and see.

I was just being a smart A about not wearing it. I know what you mean about it grabbing though. I mainly disabled the chime on mine because when I'm in the mtns I really dislike wearing it.

I find mine locks up sometimes too for no apparent reason. When I go over bumps/potholes at highway speeds, mine will lock up. I try to wear mine all the time but recently, I've found myself not wearing it and I also disabled the seatbelt chime...

Mine is sensitive also. If i lean forward too fast it locks up. I hate it.
