fuel question

This being my first diesel i have a lot of questions, one all ive herd is dont use the 500ppm diesel in the 08, then ive herd some people say go ahead. so whats the deal can we or cant we.

ive heard its a big nono in the 08's we cant even get any thing other than the ultra low 50ppm diesel here. weather or not it will hurt any thing im not sure but theoreticly the mosre sulfer in your fuel the more soot is going to buildup in the particulate filter and the more your truck will go into regen = more fuel being used to regen and bad fuel milage.

that makes sense with the fuel milage, i think the dealership put 500ppm in it when the filled it up the other day cause my fuel milage went down, and now that i think about it it has been regening mort than usual. my only concern was damage to the motor it self.
