general questions

i just installed mudflaps and was wondering what you gus did to get the front to mount securely,as i'm sure you know there is nothing there when you get to the engine side of wheel well. i just put a bolt and washer through the fiber/plastic wheel well. the flaps i got are awesome,about 1/2 inch thick with a stainless ford emblem laser cut at the bottom. i got them from airhawk.ca who is great to deal with.i had a hard time finding them. my ford dealer put them an my 08 f150 stopped selling them.

allso i'm running a spartan 210 tune and really don't have any black smoke,is this normal? it will blow allot of regular looking exhaust for a second on accelaration. the youtube ones seem to blow black. but i'm not preloading just getting on it as it is winter and traction is at a premium. i just drove 700 miles so i'm sure if it was wrong i would have seen an issue by now.

That is all we ever do it run a bolt/nut through the inner fender.

And second....why would you want a bunch of smoke? Smoke doesn't = HP, it equals wasted fuel....

i never said i want smoke,just askin why all the youtube 210's do? i'm just making 100 percent sure my truck is running as it should. i have no one in my town who i can compare trucks to. youtube and this forum is all i have.

If you mention smoke on here its like ww3 but it shouldn't smoke much with just a tune. Alot of trucks on youtube have alot of mods.

Or they have their low boost fueling cranked.
