newbie....zone and calibation on dash for what???

i just bought an 08 f250 i was going thru the dash diagnostics screen and i saw zone changes 1-15 i think and calibration reset and it said to circle slowly. i dont have a clue what these do when changing the zone or resetting the calibratiom. i tried searching the forums and couldnt find anything. can someone please enlighten me. also i got to do my 120k service...i can change the fluids no problem. but the dpf. where can i get one besides the dealership.

That's for your compass. You can select the proper zone for your location then the driving in circles is how it calibrates it.
