What wheel backspacing and offset..
I am getting some new wheels and tires for my new 6.4.
I am going to get some 35/12.50/17 or 18" with the XD misfit wheels.. I am going to put a 4" lift under it what backspacing and offset am I going to need anyone know?? Thanks Also I have 20" wheels now with the FX4 package someone told me I couldn't go down in size only up..I call BS any input on that.. I only want either a 17" or at most 18" wheel.. |

You can go down to a 17" wheel for sure on 05-07 trucks. I'm almost positive you can on the newer trucks. Offset depends on what you want and what size rim you get. If you get a 9" wide rim and want it to stick out past the fender about 1.75 inches(my truck in my sig) then you would get a -12 offset with 4.5" of backspacing. If you want it to stick out about a 1/2 inch or so go with +0 offset with 5" of backspacing. A ten inch wide rim will be a little different. I believe you need a -24 offset on a 10" wide rim to get it to stick out 1.75" and -12 offset puts it out about half an inch. Someone may have to chime in about the ten inch wide wheel. I'm familiar with a 9" wide rim.
