You may not have a cord on your block heater. They all have the element in the block, but they where not all fitted with cords. To look and see if yours has the cord you want to crawl underneath and look up past the starter on the right rear corner of the motor. The block heater cord should be orange and black and run over to the frame. The block heater is located right above the starter.
