Toolbox alternative??
I have an 8 foot bed in my truck and a regular size tool box in the bed. I would like to have more room in my bed for lawn equipment and my Wheelhorse. I really for keep much in my toolbox; fuel additive, tow strap, rachet straps, and that's about it. I was thinking about getting an in bed wheel well tool box but having trouble fixing a cheap used one. Any ideas or pictures about what to do?

Ive been eye balling some pork chop boxes also. Only problem is you have to get one that is shorter then 19 1/2" tall because it will still out past the wheel wells towards the center of the bed. You end up losing a ton of room so I've narrowed it down to a Titan or one of those swing out ones . They are both about 16" tall so they tuck under the top bed rail lip and dont stick out past the wheel wells. Have read mixed reviews about Titan... might just buy one seeing they are cheap enough and see how it works out.

I wonder If someone measured. Could you not fit a tool box up against the cab and than 6.5 tonneau in 8 foot box? I know it's a little off topic but it just peaked my interest. Sorry!!

ive got the high side boxes that bolt onto the bed rail running the length of the truck. one side is longer than the other to fit my tidy tank. i have the delta pro series. returned them once cuse the hinges started to rust. the new set was no better. i would go with weatherguard next time.

I'm definitely looking for something that sits down in the bed and doesn't really stick up much if at all.

Undercover makes those wheel well swing boxes. I don't have personal experience with them but have heard good things. I used to have their hardcover on the bed of my last 150 and loved it. You can check them out on their website, and I think PTP has them on their website for around $175 a piece if I remember right.

I have the undercover swing cases on my f350. Overall I like them, but they are made of plastic and have a 50 lb load limit. So when I'm messing around in the back of the truck I have to make sure I don't sit or kneel on the boxes because my body weight would break them. Great concept and OK product but could be better I think. Just need to be more heavy duty (I think they are more geared toward 1/2 ton truck owners that use there trucks like cars with a big trunk).
