Toyota Prius
The other day I installed a dpf/cat delete pipe, an AFE intake, and an H and S xrt pro tuner on my 08 King Ranch. Ever since, even at the lowest setting, it’s been rolling coal like a son of a beach. This morning on my way home from work (worked a double) I was stopped at a light with a white Toyota Prius next to me. His front tire was about in line with my tail pipe. The light turned green and I dumped the biggest cloud of black smoke I have ever seen on the guy. I could see the hippie cussing me in my rearview. It made me laugh

"Rollin coal just to do it" stories is kind of frowned upon on here. Just saying. Most guys are trying to run the cleanest tunes possible. No smoke = burning all the fuel and more power.
BUT since it was a Prius.... |

Yep, just another reason the EPA is trying to make their little "rolling task force" to be out randomly pulling over trucks to make sure they have their emission equip on. You sir have won the golden star award of the day

Am wondering why someone would do this?

With that being said though I know you just worked on your truck and obiously something isn't right, but since it was a Prius

Just trying to state the obvious that a WELL tuned truck shouldn't blow smoke, but should actually turn all that wasted diesel into actual power in the injection and combustion event. But hey, maybe I learned alllll wrong. Maybe more smoke equals more power.

I hate blowing smoke and I try to not blow smoke at all cost. But it just so happens that I got off the phone with H&S yesterday because of this very topic. I asked them if there was something I could do to make the HD300 not blow as much smoke like turning the low boost fueling to zero and what not. The answer I got was with all that power comes all that smoke.
