Removing Fuel Lines from HFCM modual ?

I'm planing on removing the side cover ( manifold ) on the frame mounted HFCM for cleaning , Is it necessary to remove the fuel lines (4) are just leave them attached . ???

i have never cleaned mine but i believe i read you leave the fuel lines connected.

I know this is an old post, but what did you figure out? I'm about to tackle the same project.

Also, I assume there's an o-ring between the cover that needs replacing, correct? Do you recall a part number? I searched Tousley Ford, but no HFCM o-ring...only the entire HFCM for $50. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you need the 1/2" quick connect line tool to get them apart. I have the snap-on plastic ones. There is no oring in there but some times they can be a pain to get to seal again. I just use wheel bearing grease on the outside of the line where it slides into the hfcm so that nothing gets hung up or broken so that it seals really good. I had to do my tranny lines on my 05 and it was all quick disconnects. What a pain lol
