Smoked Light Assembly, Running Lights
I have seen a few truck pictures posted that have smoked or even painted headlight assemblies. Also dark greyish running lights and mirror lights.
Can someone point me in the right direction to find out more? Thanks |

A company called True Bliss Customs does them professionally for about $400. However, some users have done it themselves. Here's the link. As for smoking the taillights and mirror lights, people have used VHT Nightshade. I bought Recon mirror, tails, and brake lights since they already came smoked and with LEDs.

If u purchase lights don't go cheap because you get what u pay for, I would say recons the best way to go, I would not pay to have lights tinted ether. I tinted my tail lights with a $20 can of tail light tint and it looks great, just tape off ur reverse light cause for 1 u won't be able to see $h1t at night, and second it can double as a reflector so cops don't mess with u. Don't go to dark though, spray a layer on an let it dry cause it gets darker. As for tinting any amber lights I tinted my roof lights on my dodge an it didn't look good at all.

Thanks everyone!
I looked at the Recons and will likely go that way but I keep hearing they are high priced and low quality. They look dope though. |

I just got some halo headlights off ebay and I'm really not happy with the quality and I paid 330 for them, u can't plug ur factorry harness into the headlights so I had to wire them into it and same for the led running lights, the blinker was the only thing that snapped right on. They look good and are still working as of now.

I've bought the Recon smoke cab light lenses and led bulbs before and they are great in my opinion. That's probably the only thing I'll ever buy from them based on many many terrible reviews of people that spent alot of money on some of Recon's headlights, taillights, and other more expensive products.

I was the same way and very hesitant/cautions in regards to purchasing Recon products after reading the numerous threads about their quality or lack there of on various forums. Pretty sure every truck site has a thread with a few disgruntled and upset customers. However, their products simply looked too good and I couldn't prove other peoples' claims as I didn't own them or had logged time behind the wheel with their products. I bought the side mirror lights and third brake light at the same time as I got a pretty good deal on them but held off on the taillights as those were rather expensive. Once I was happy with my Recon items (mirror lights and brake light), I decided to pull the trigger and buy the taillights. If I didn't buy an HID retrofit for my stock headlights, I probably would have bought the Recon projectors and their HIDs. Unfortunately, my HIDs that I bought not too long ago aren't compatible so I'd have to spend another ~$200 on getting HIDs in their projectors.
