Should i be scared?

trying to buy a 6.4l 2008 with 160k miles... never had any problems with engine turbos pistons rockers etc.... so is this a ticking time bomb? no mods never pulled heavy load..... just seen some horror stories and kinda scaring me away from buying it

Pull the Oasis report and service records. If it all looks good I would not be worried what so ever. Maintaince is key with these trucks.

I believe if you go to any Ford dealer you should be able to get it. There prob are members here who can pull it for you

I'm doing the same thing got my I on one with 142k carfax is clean and I'll be checking with the ford dealer tomorrow..... then the tax guy and banker on tues. maybe I'll have a 6.4 by sat.

I have 162k on mine. Bought it with 150k, deleted the DPF at 155k, deleting the EGR within the next couple months. Been solid so far, admittedly though it does make me a little nervous. If the Oasis checks out just do the proper maintenance and you should be fine.

Thats all the minor stuff that all 08-10's have had done. I would not be worried one bit about it... I say go for it!
