Should i buy this truck?

Hey guys i have a question on a truck i found for sale. The truck is an '08 its got 105k super clean, loaded and they want 25k for it. The thing that worries me about it is i got an oasis report and they found glitter in the fuel tank. They replaced the entire fuel system when this happened, injectors, pump, tank, lines everything. My worry is that it mite have gotten into the cylinders and the turbos and possibly the oil. Is that possible for it to get that far? Do you guys think its still a good deal and should i be worried about it? Please let me know what you think i'd hate to miss out on a good truck. Thanks in advance

Was it recent? If so you could have an oil anaylsis done to check the oil. What are the other stats on the truck? Cab, bed, trim...?

I am certain the glitter did not make it beyond the injectors. If the glitter even made it that far into the system. I payed 23k for the truck in my sig with 160k on it. But the Oasis was one of the cleanest ones we'd seen on a 6.4 and the remainder of the truck was immaculate. Plus you essentially have a 100k truck with a lot less mileage on the entire fuel system... Airdog it and go!

Definitely agree $25k sounds steep for a super cab with those miles. That's on the very high end for a crew cab so I would pass unless you can get them down at least $5k. Don't forget you need to give yourself a $1500 - $2000 cushion to pull all the emmisions crap off of it once you buy it.

agree... knock 5K off and you should be getting a great deal.. ask them what kind of guarantee they will offer you on the fuel system too.. gotta feel some sense of security if you buy something that has had its entire fuel system replaced..

KBB doesn't mean anything with these trucks at this point. Economy in the tanks and high fuel prices have cut off demand and therefore prices have dropped. I picked mine up for $22k on a $34k blue book value. My banker when comparing the prices said I was stealing it from them.

If nothing else, Obama at least helped me get into a 6.4 at an outstanding price!!

If you could get it for 22 or 23 then i would say do it. My truck had 160k on it and i paid $16,500 for my truck and booked out for 26 at the time. It is really up to you, if you like it then get it but there are better deals. Rememeber the price will go up once you do tax's and all.
