Is this as weird as I've been told?

So...the day I first got my truck it was at 10.4 mpg...well now that I've had it a few days it's steadily gone up. Only difference is it did a regen the other day...and the MPG has gotten better since. Best I've seen is 15.2 mpg. I didn't get a pic of it, but here's a pic of my 14.9...

Is it possible this truck is currently tuned and I just don't know it?

It called the lie-o-meter for a reason. Do a full tank and hand calculate, then you'll see the truth.

That is the only way to know for sure. My lie-o-meter is off by about 2 miles per gallon on average.

I'll be sure to do that...my 03 didn't have it so I'm new to the "lie-o-meter".

BTW...how often does the Regen mode happen? And how long does it usually last? Or is there no set time?

My lie-o-meter is actually lower then my hand calc. Go figure 50000 dollars for a truck and the most simple device dosnt even work, if I wanted to spend money on something that didn't work right I would have bought a chevy.

I agree with everything above, do the hand calculations and that will tell you the truth. I had also seen numbers that high with my truck when it was stock.... But I knew it wasn't correct.

Lol it makes you think though. What if they speed your odometer up to get miles racked up higher faster? Well anyway at the end of the day if you are buying these trucks for mileage your dysfunctional too...lol
