Rear axle breather tube?

Had to submerge the the rear axle the other day backing a boat into the water. Crawled around after to see where the breather tube was routed and if I could have had actual water enter and couldn't find the tube on the top of the housing. I assume there is one? If so, routed how high?

It's the rear tube that goes up to the top of the frame rail. If you submerged that you were in pretty deep. Hope this helps.
