Took the truck to the dealership for the notorious coolant leak from the bad hose that needs a double o-ring, fixed under warranty.

Also had them do the 30k service and just do a general look over of the truck since I bought it used from a chevy dealership.

Anyway, the tech called me and said that I had an aftermarket banks turbo on the truck. I have searched and searched and can not find a banks turbo for my truck, is the guy correct or is there a way to look at it and tell. Most of Banks stuff that I've seen has the name tattooed on it like crazy....any ideas guys?


any body have any info on how I can tell aftermarket to oem turbo? I'm new to diesel to just curious.

i dont think banks make a turbo kit of any kind for the 6.4
