Scanguage II - engine oil temp in 6.4L?
Does the scanguage II pickup engine oil temp in a 2008 6.4L? I have a knockoff ELM27 with the Torque smartphone app. It does not pickup the oil temp, or EGT's. And the trans temp always shows the same as engine coolant temp which seems bogus. I am running an H&S XRT tuner whicn may disable some things, not sure. I really want analog gauges but with all the hassle, I have to at least consider a cheaper and easier option.

I don't own the Scanguage. Just considering it. I am happy with the XRT. Did you have to run a separate pyro for the Mini-Maxx?

nope, that's one of the great things about the 6.4. factory pre-turbo pyro probe

I bought a used edge evolution for cheap and use that for a monitor. works good and it came with a nice pod

Thanks. I like the look of analog gauges myself. I also don't want to advertise that I have a tuner if I were to step up to a Mini-Maxx. But for the price of a Scanguage or something like a used Edge, I have to at least consider it. I just wonder why my app doesn't show oil temp or the pre turbo pyro. I thought maybe my XRT may have disabled some things.

It would on a 2006 model.

You talked me into it. I just bit the bullet and purchased a Mini Max. Can't wait.
