6.4l 32v twin turbo VS 7.3 power stroke
6.4l v8 32v ddi ohv twin turbo VS 7.3 l power stroke
Wanted some info on these 2 Engines? how do they compare? I am buying a Ford F-250 pick up. I can get a 2008 6.4 or 2002 7.3. Miles/options/ect. are the same on both trucks. Any input would be great. Thank You Al & Colette from SOCAL |

6.4 will out tow, out run, get better millage, and be more comfortable, but the 7.3 will still be running years after the 6.4 is scrapped! But I am biased

I'm curious as to why you say it will run longer than the 6.4. In my opinion the 6.4 will run longer than the 7.3. It's built stronger.

and like I said, I am biased.. I drive a 7.3, if I could afford a 6.4 there would be 2 trucks in my driveway instead of one. |

That's the thing. There really hasn't been a lot of time for someone to put those miles on a 6.4. I think a completely deleted 6.4 would last just as long as a 7.3 if it wasn't run with a high hp tune. In my eyes a motor that can handle 600+ hp without replacing opening it up is very strong. You can't do that with a 7.3.

WOW, super low miles!! Even at full asking price you can still turn it and make a profit if you wanted to!

yes...all the rest have 90 to 140,000 miles....in that same price range 10 to 13,000.
The low miles for us will be perfect for towing cross country CA to PA...then to florida keys...new orleans...and back to CA. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year |
