I had an upper rad hose leak that leaked near the driver's side and on to the front diff.

The dealership says that has been replaced, could this be an egr cooler issue?

Don't think so. Believe that most EGR cooler issues are normally an internal issue so all you'd see is a low coolant level but no coolant leaking on your cross member and front diff. Maybe try taking it to a different dealership to see if they can pinpoint the problem.

I just had a coolant leak and it was the EGR cooler hose, I previously had on and it was the upper rad hose.

could be the the plastic Y piece that the lower degas bottle and heater hose connects to. but only way to really know is to hook up a cooling system pressure test to it and see where its coming.

the most common problem areas are the top and bottom rad hose orings at the front cover (ford now has an updated dual o ring design - but it has to be purchased by the customer) the o rings are 100k mile warranty.
also common is the oring on the hose from the bottom of the degas bottle, and the hose that runs from the vertical to the horizontal egr cooler. |
