I think I can Win

A friend of mine with a tuned 6.0 has lined me up a race with a 6.2 Chevy Gasser with 403 stock horsepower, it also has a tuner on it but I think that is it. The guy was talking about how fast his truck was and my buddy told him he knew someone who can beat him in a diesel (me). My mods are in my sig, running hot damn 300 tune. Kid is a rich farmer's kid and has bet $500 dollars on it; although I am not betting because I don't have the money my buddy is putting it up. Will I win??? Why won't my buddy race him in the 6.0 it is tuned and runs pretty good? Just wondering about it I think I will get a cut if I win too, which I could use before x-mas. Thanks for any input.

I don't see a problem. Assuming you know how to drive your truck. These trucks can keep up with or beat the new Mustang's and Camaro's. I also own an 06 Charger SRT-8 6.1L with around 450 HP and I would say by the seat of my pants my truck is faster. So if I was you I would put down alot more money.

Depends on the set-up of the other truck. I have a 2011 F150 Lariat Limited w/ 6.2l and custom tunes and it is pretty quick. I would think you could take him...but I would find out his set-up first.

You got him EASY
My buddy has a +650hp Vette and when we race from a roll(above 40mph cuz i cant get traction any slower) He doesnt pull that hard on me...Yes he does win but its NOT a blow out win!!!
My truck with the Hot Damn 300 pulls hard!!! Top end pulls really good!!(traction is the key)

His is four door 4 wheel drive, and mine is CC 4wd. Like I said all he is supposed to have is a tuner on it but I don't know what kind. I am pretty sure I can out drive him, he is a stupid kid, and I do have some experience racing cars, atvs and stuff.
