egr valve old style or new?

A few months back I had my EGR valve replaced...I was looking at another thread on here and seen a pic of someones engine and it showed a coolant line going from the degas bottle to the valve. I looked on mine and there is no line going to the valve and where the line went to the degas bottle in that picture I saw mine is caped/stubbed off. Im going to go ahead and assume since my truck is an 08 job 1 that I had the old style egr valve and since they replaced it its the newer one? Just wondering if this is correct im going off bits and pieces of info I read on another thread
Thanks

The original style egr valve has the coolant line. That was deleted in the early part of 2009.
