alternator fire
My 2008 F350 6.4L alternator caught on fire last night anyone else have this problem or have any coments on why this would happen?

that's crazy ,, I almost had my 06 light up when the dealer left the power lead on the alt loose ,, where does it look like your issue started .. any dash lights or anything other than the smell warn you ?
what other damage ? hood paint? other items burnt ?
