Tapping from dash????

Anyone have a tapping sound coming from their dash? Thought it may be the A/C system, but I hear it when its shut off too. It's driving me nutz! If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

it is, its more than likely the blend door for the heat/ ac unit...common..issue

Will it do this even when heat ac system is not on?

Yes it will make the noise with the a/c off. You wouldn't think so but it does

It's covered on your 36k warranty. If your past that then not sure. I hear you have to part of the dash out to get to it. The part is cheap but the labor is pricey

Yea busted the warranty miles already. Gonna have to search and see if someone has a write up or video on where it is and see if me and a bud can tackle it.

I had mine done at the dealer under warranty. Not the answer your looking for, I know.

As I understand it, it's gonna require removal of the dash to access. Someone else mentioned it's about $500+ job at the dealer out of warranty. Believe that's parts and labor.

You would think they would put out a recall or something. This problem is very common. Had the blend door motors changed on my 08 and the same thing is happening on my 09
