6.4 Oil leak at front of engine?

Hi guys,

I need some help, I have an oil leak that seems to becoming from the front bottom of the engine, but its hard to tell exactly. I have checked oil levels and they are actually over the max fill line, but it seems to be loosing quite a bit of oil on the ground when parked. Probably a half dollar size everytime its parked after being ran.

Here is a picture of where I think its leaking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Looking at your pictures it is hard to tell where the leak is coming from. Is it the corner of the pan leaking, or is it coming from above and dripping on the pan then down? I would clean the motor the best you can and put some dye in and see if you can track down the origin of the leak.

That is such a coincidence, I spotted the same exact oil leak on my truck yesterday evening and was going to take a picture of it and post it up on here. I'm going to be taking a look at it today and try to figure out where it is coming from.

Well if you figure it out post up on here.

I cleaned off the area somewhat in the picture last night, and drove the truck for about 15 minutes, and there was fresh oil on the silver colored part??

I m just not sure where its coming from.

Overfilled oil will cause oil leaks.
