New Guy

Hi All,
I just purchased a 2008 6.4 XL 250 Super cab 4x4 with 76,000 miles on her. It is my first Ford diesel truck. I was looking for an early Dodge or a 7.3 Ford 250 when I came on this truck. For 18 grand I took the leap and got her Saturday from the internet dealer. (first time I have done this) So far I have a sensor going off, tire sensor fault. turns out the company that put on the new tires damaged the censors and according to the Ford dealership $645 will fix the problem! The other fault is drain the water separator. After checking out this site I located the inline fuel filter BUT no lever to drain it. I guess someone broke it at some point. I also just got a check engine light today. In the morning both fuel filters get changed and I might as well do a oil and filter change as I have no maintenance records. I like to keep my stuff up to snuff so I might as well start with a clean slate. Thanks for all the posts here to help a newbe and any other suggestions I would be great.

Looks like you got a few things to fix but you got a good deal on it. I bought mine for 17 but i had 167,000 on my truck. Once you get those few things done you will love it. Get a tuner, CAI, and exhaust and you will be in love

If your taking her to the dealer, may as well see if they can pull an oasis report and see what has been done or not done to the vehicle as well. There could be some recalls or flashes that your in need of.

Welcome to the ORG!
