trying to install hd300 help

can someone please explain how i go about doing this? i inserted sd ,drag and dropped tune into sd file,plugged into mini maxx and now i'm lost.. did i do ANYTHING right?.. please help and thanks in advance

You have to do the install download when you plug the programmer back in

thanks but i tried that and it's telling me i have the 6.4.28 version not the .30

When you first turn the truck on (not starting engine) you need to go in the menu and go into "Update Firmware". Follow those instructions. Then go to the menu once that's done and go to install download. If you don't update the firmware first nothing will happen.

chances are you didn't get it transferred to the card.
you must save the file,,, not open it
after u extract the files, you have to open it and copy each individual file , not the folder.....
when you past to the mini max,, it should warn you about over writing files
after inserting back in the head unit... go to install firm ware and do that.... then do the download...it will tell you it is already on, hit that you want to add more? or something like that....
