Looking at doing DPF delete

Looking at doing a DPF delete and economy type tune to my 08 f250. Just got the turck and has 28k on it. From my searches here it seems like spartan is the best way to go/is most reliable. What I am wondering is there a gain in going to the complete 4" exhaust(duals) compared to running it into the stock set up?

You'll get many different opinions as to which tuner to use but H&S and Spartan are the two that are very popular. They both have their pros and cons so it really depends what you want to do with the truck and which one you'd prefer more because they have slightly different features. The H&S has shift on the fly power settings which is a nice feature. H&S also shuts off the EGR system and does not cycle it like the Spartan.

As for using the stock exhaust with a delete pipe versus a 4" downpipe back exhaust, depends on the look and sound you want.

The truck is going to be a daily runner, used for family trips down state, tow a boat in summer, tow sleds in winter, and haul some home update materials/landscaping materials in the bed or on trailer. I am happy with the power it has now but am looking to try and get a few more mpg and the biggest thing is to get the longevity out of the motor.

Could you explain the H&S with the EGR shut off a little more please. Searching for info on it also.

How much better tone/how much louder is the 4" duals? My brother did a set on his duramax and it wasn't much louder.

First PSD owned but use them daily at work(stock of course). Thank you
