30k fuel system service?

my local dealership contacted me letting me know they offer a entire fuel system service they recomend every 30k backed by B G products,once again is this a scam to get money out of me,or is this legit,or can i buy something over at the local autoparts and manage the fuel system myself?

I would want to know what that "service" is. Filters and what? Look in the owners manual. I don't think there is anything different between a 20,000 mile and a 30,000 mile service.

The way it was explained to me they did the filters also they use a solvent to clean the entire fuel system then change the oil when they are done,they did hype this up and stood behind it and should be performed every 30k to optimize fuel economy,easier starts,etc.....

BG is no scam, It is a national product sold mostly to Dealers and local shops. They offer gas and diesel fuel and oil products for deposit control. They have gone big time into Bus and heavy truck diesel servicing. Many school districts and highway depts usee their fuel conditioners and cleaners. I use their DOC diesel oil conditioner and fuel additive I buy by the gallon and it will last me about 30000 miles . Check out their site bgprod.com . Awesome products with real R&D and testing.
