Flywheel Horsepower
Does anyone know what the flywheel hp is on a H&S hd300 tuned 6.4 with a decent cia and exhaust? I know it's what is at the rear wheels that counts but flywheel always sounds better.

It can always vary a little of course
From what I have seen most people plan on a stock engine to make about 275 at the wheels on the low end with the hp increase with a tune being numbers reflected at the wheels also (but nine times in ten those are pretty optimistic) so a 275 tune yielding 550 whp so a 300 making a semi realistic guess of 575 at the wheels add back in the originally lost 75 say about 650 at the crank In the end I think that is a pretty generous guess, I would off hand assume its a little less, but not sure about that |
