Mass air flow readings

Hey everyone.
My tuner is showing a max air flow of 287.6 g/s. Seems like guage is reading fine as it shows anywhere from 140 to 287.6 g/s at highway speeds depending on engine load of course.

So my question is, does the tuner only read a max value? is that all the air flow that is allowed through my system?

Even after the max value is reached, I am still gaining power, spooling boost, and have no problems I can tell with running of the truck. Seems fine, just caps at 287.6 g/s.

I have a S&B cold air intake installed, which could use a cleaning, but is still not bad. Could this max reading indicate restriction through my filter?

DPF Delete, Cat delete
Evolution Racing CTS Edge Tuner - Tuned to PL4 at the moment - Usually PL 2

dont know if our tuners read the same ways but mine is spartan dash daq and it always maxes out at 86.69 in the MAF reading, im not sure what it is in though, i will check tomorrow.
