confusing mpg

Any one else come across this issue I have a 08 fx4 102xxx
miles I constantly get 10.8 MPG driving like grandpa but if I hammer on it like it stolen it goes up to 11.3 but that the best I get.


I also get the cleaning filter message like every other day my work commute everyday is 22 miles one way

Hand calculate your MPG for cross-comparison.

sounds like a plugged dpf to me..........you have 100k now....needs taken off at dealer and cleaned.

Might be getting ready to put one on ebay. Starting at $399. Has about 15000 miles on it.
