market for stock exhaust?

Hello all, just ordered the 5" diamond eye straight pipe kit and mini maxx from ptp, very excited. Question is, is there a market for my stock exhaust on ebay or anywhere? i know the dpf is extremely expensive, think i caould make any of my money back by selling the stock setup? im glad i pulled the trigger on the delete and tuner but it does hurt my shallow pockets! Thanks in advance.

There is quite a market for the stock exhaust. Not so much for bringing a modified truck back to stock but by scrappers. There are a lot of precious metals in the DPF/entire exhaust system. I've seen offers of $500-$600 by scrappers. But like mentioned above, I'd keep it just in case. Never know what the EPA is going to do or if your truck takes a dump, you can put it back to stock and try to get it warranted.

not for a Ford system. They have the lowest scrap value out of any of the big three

thank you all, with your knowledge it sounds like keeping the stock system could save me some money in the long run and help with warranty work. Thanks a ton.

I'm making a delete pipe out of a stock DPF/DOC. Would the scrappers take just the guts or do they have to have the whole assembly?? And if they will take the just the guts , where to you find these guys??

most buyers might give $10/lb for random substrate...

there's no way to quantify what the stuff came from, so where you might get $300-400 for a DOC from a 6.7 dodge, if you hollow it out, you'll get maybe $50-80 for the guts
