2010 F-350 Dually questions

Hi all,

About to pull the trigger on an F-350 dually. It's an FX4. Before I go dually, I have a few questions.

1) How do these dually FX4s do in heavy snow/ice/mud. I know the SRWs are pretty good, is the dually's ability to handle bad weather heavily degraded?

2) MPGs - stock truck, what can I expect empty. I like to drive 75 mph +. What can I expect with a DPF delete, and can I switch the gears out of this truck to something lower like 3.55s.

Thank you for your assistance. I'm excited about these trucks as it looks like I can get a real low mileage 6.4 for about 40ks.

Well all Dually suffer from not being able to get good traction in mud, snow, and ice because they have such a big rear foot print however as with any vehicle, putting good tires on the truck will make a huge difference.

The only thing I have to go off of for you is that I have an 08 F-450. Mine is bone stock as far as the drive train goes. I have 4:30 gears and weigh right at 10000lbs. I can squeeze 12.5-10 mpg out of my truck at highway speeds of 65. Anything over that and it plumits to about 9.0 mpg. If you tune it it will get much better economy. I recommend them. THese are awesome trucks.
