Gear shifter locked up

In the last 2 weeks when I start may truck and try to put in rev my gear shifter has been hell tring to unlock it. No matter how much I press brake or turn my steering wheel it takes awhile messing with it to unlock so I can get it into gear. And this morning when it did it, my info screen gave me a trailer brake module fault. It reset and went away when I restarted truck. Also when I tow my 5th wheel I have to put trailer brakes set above nine to work. Has anyone had this issue. Thanks Chris

Yes I did have this issue. The dealer said it was more common on 150's...they changed thevtrailer brake module, brake pressure switch, and the stop light switch...no problems since

I would guess something with the brake switch, or one of the related sensors/switches. Good luck!

When I have my 5th wheel trailer hookup to truck I have to set the controler at 9+. Does that sound wrong or what should it be around....

Is it the stock controller? It depends on the trailer and what condition the brakes are in and if they are adjusted correctly. I think mine is set at 8.5 or 9
