unusally high gas mileage

Got on the highway last night and averaged 21mpg at 75 mph for 300 miles. I make this trip everyweekend and usually only get 18..thought that was pretty weird. Also I got my truck used a few months ago and i was under it and it looks like the DPF was messed with.Just wondering if theres a way to tell if they ever turned it also. I have never seen a regen and cleaning dash light ever. and ive watch for it alot. truck runs great and has no problems. I have just never seen it go into regen mode and i have put almost 4k miles on it. thought maybe the prevoius owned hollowed it out and turned it. any way to tell

Awesome dude, i've had my truck 6 months and have NEVER seen over 18.6 mpg stock or chipped out. Doesnt matter what speed i drive.

I would think you could tell by the sound of the exhaust if the DPF was punched out. As for if it is tuned that may be harder to tell, especially if it was a flash tuner, like a superchips of somthing.

Mine just went from 12.5 to 16.1 overnight....no one knows why...but i love t!

dont believe the dashboard lie-o-meter!! i got mine to show 32 mpg on a trip to texas right after i deleted exhaust and did mini maxx... i wish though!! i added it up by hand and i wasnt even getting half of that

Really, wow I have gotten 23.3 deleted with the mini with the cruise set on 60-65 and that is hand calculated, about 27 by the lie-0-meter.

I got rid of my transfer tank (trickle tank) in my truck and it appears that my truck's fuel tank got larger. I always top off my tank to the filler neck and the EVIC has always read just under 500km to empty. After my trickle tank was removed it now reads just under 600km to empty.

Gas Mileage?

Never ran gas through my turbo diesel.

I got 22.3 MPG hand caculated running the Spartan 275 a few months back on a 600 mile trip.

Since then, I have put 20's on my truck and the MPG's came way down. Making the same trip again in about 6 weeks. Going to check mileage again then. Not sure how good of a comparison that will be since it will be on winter blend.

you might have already considered this but...maybe the wind was helping you out.

just this week on my way to work I was getting 23.5 on the highway one day...and 11.5 (SAME ROAD & SPEED) the next day.

stupid wind. makes me wanna turn 85, go bald and beat dead a cow with what seems to be a kids baseball bat???

Uhhh... do you see any puffs of black smoke? If so, dpf gutted, if not then not. If not and tuned you will soon have a clogged dpf.
