where do i find a good power source
Hi guys i just bought this mirror that has a built in back up camera and a hands free calling system really cool my buddy has it, and it works great. The thing is, I can plug it in using your lighter socket or you can hard wire it, I like to hard wire it, but want to find the right power source to hook it up too. The truck i gonna put into is a 2008 F350 6.4 motor, i have the uplift switch's but cant use them, So where can i get a good power source, it only needs 12 volts
Thank in advance Nelson |

Not home to look, but there might already be a wiring harness in the head liner to feed trucks that come with factory camera mirror.

The purple wire under the dash on the left hand side (capped) is a good wire to use. It is an accessory wire (+12volts with key on, no power key off).
It is the wire that most tuners are hookup up to. See the Mini-Max instructions page 46: http://www.hsperformance.com/images/minimaxx.pdf I also use that wire for my rear-view mirror rear-camera system Hope that helps. |

When I install my rear view camera I am going to use one of my upfitter switches. I am going to wire the camera trigger and the view screen to upfitter so I can turn on whenever I want. I will be able to check the trailer ball and hitch going down the hwy and won't have to pull over.
