When to do a transmission service on the 6.4?

I bought my 08' with 65k miles on it and i am about to roll 100k i have been thinking recently about doing a tranny fluid drain and fill and filters and all that good stuff, is this a good idea? i have no idea whether the previous owner had the fluids changed out ever on the tranny so now that I am at 100k it could be original fluid, what are yalls opinions on this

good idea?
bad idea?

thanks in advance

Should be flushed by Ford every 30k.. taking it to Ford is the ONLY way to properly change out the fluid.

i wanted to change my fluids filter ,etc , my ford dealer said they do not do that !! they use there machine it flushes trans out and cleans filter to 99% , then top it off with fresh trans fluid, i did mine about 60,000, and it was shifting funny prior to the service , now runs great , diffently do it , i do know of that theory of not breaking into a transmisson if it hasnt been serviced but i think that has to do with much older set ups!! good luck with it , fyi i think i paid about 200$ for the flush
