Job 1, 2, 3 are the dates which the truck was the build date/assembled/manufactured/rolled off the assembly line at the Ford plant. Job 1 trucks were the first off the line. They have build dates in the first week of January, '07. In the summer of '07, Job 2 trucks were released. Job 3 trucks came out around winter of '07 and went into '08. To my knowledge, the only trucks that had issues were naturally, the Job 1 trucks that were first off the line and some Job 2 until the kinks were worked out.

Make sure you get the Oasis report for that vehicle and also be aware that there is a lot more maintenance to do with these diesels and ALOT more expensive. If the reports come back clean then it should be good, but make sure you get the best extended warranty you can if you plan on keeping this truck awhile. Also look into deleting and getting a tuner, ie Spartan, maxx products. The spartan to my knowledge is still very difficult for the dealer to detect as long as you return it back to stock a week or so before you bring it in IF an issue comes up. Also keep in mind, deleting/tuning is really going to protect your investment because it keeps the emission gremlins at bay, BUT.... if you tune it you risk losing your warranty, thats why you have to return it to stock. Oh and your MPG's are MUCH better tuned.
Keep us posted, Dom |

have the dealer check coolant nitrites.....if it tests below 800ppm,have them throw in a coolant flush free....this is a big part of trouble free motoring down the road.
