My fuel gauge is off in the red on E is only 20 gallons?? please help

Ok i thought it seemed like the fuel gauge was moving quite fast. so i ran it all the way to the red it said 30 miles to empty on the dash. when i filled it up it would only take 20 gallons of fuel. my window sticker says 31 gallon fuel tank so i have 11 gallons still in there but how do i adjust the gauge or what can i do?

When you filled it, was that until the pump shutoff or when you could see fuel at the top of the filler neck after the foam disappeared?

ya, i get the same kind of feeling, when mine is down to 90 miles to empty ill get about 19 gallons in the tank, seems low to me

Mine does the same thing, so I figured the sending unit was off or I actually had a 26gl tank instead of the 32. I've driven 119 miles from when the dash said 0 miles left for fuel and when I filled up it still only took 24.5 gallons. If you have a warranty see if they can fix it.
