30,000 Service Advice

Looking for feedback on Service advice. The truck is a daily driver, and is only used to tow on 10% of the time. I drive it like I stole it 1 day a week. My schedule currently leaves me no time for my own service on the truck. She is going in for fuel and oil filter changes, I always change these earlier then recommended. Beside what the owners manual states, what if any other service would you recommend @ 30k, Trans Service, antifreeze, etc. I appreciate all and any advice, thanks.

37 views...Wow..that was disappointing. Thought that in 2 days someone could of shot me some advice. I see why some members are afraid to ask a "stupid" question, Oh well. Now it will be hard to get advice for a lift and tires and advice for the Black Maxx when I order it. I see more and more posts that aren't responded too. Sorry if I offened anyone or just didn't "know" what I should have "known."

Well I would be sure you do the transmission service. That is indicated in the manual but I stress transmission flushes to everybody I talk to. I think coolant flush would be a 60k deal. I will look on my log and post more if I did anything at 30 you missed

Sounds great. I will do the trans service also "08SuperDiesel." Thanks for the feedback and the 30k post link "sy1616" Seems like some dealers have that "creative pricing senerio." But "08SuperDiesel," question about the Trans service...is there 2 kinds, a trans change vs a flush?? Think someone was telling me about that a while back, not sure. Rather get my info from an .org member then FoMoCo person trying to bring in extra cash in this tough economy! They can get creative trying to write more service then I need for my PSD.....Thanks again everyone!

Oh gosh...forgot to ask, is it worth going to synthetics with Ford at 30k or wait a little longer. (Changing Engine oil at 5,000 to 6,500.) Does Ford even have a synthetic Auto Trans Fluid? Thanks!

I'd flush the trans not just a drain and fill. Personal preference though. The fluid is already a synthetic. I'd do synthetic in the engine but again, that's me.
