Front knocking noise????

So this happened twice so far and both times after I came home from the mountains, when I make sharp/tight turns theres a knock I'm my front end and only when I'm turning hard. Any ideas is driving me nuts???!!!!!! Last time it happend I sprayed the crap out of the moving front end parts with wd40 and it went away so far that hasn't worked, help!

it could be several things, but first thing that comes to mind is your hub assembly. can you pin point were the noise is coming from like your wheel or actual steering assembly.

Should I pull the hubs out? It feels like the knock is somewhere by the wheels like I said only happend twice and both when I got home from the mountains so I have no idea what that has to do with the knock so go figure.

that does sound like your hubs, it could be something different though. My experience with worn out hubs is they start off slow then start sounding like rocks in you wheels and jerking your steering wheel.

I've replaced one since I could turn it to engage the 4wd so I guess I'll try getting the one I didn't replace.

thats another indicater when one goes the other goes, how many miles do you have on your truck and do you offroad or drive in the mud/water.

It's got 67,000 on it and it saw mud once, I plow wit it so it sees alot of salt slush etc.

I ordered one today, I replaced the passenger side last year so hopefully its just the drivers side, I'll keep you posted
