Trans fluid level 08 f350 job #1

I have heared that the job 1 6.4's need to have the trans fluid over full has anyone else heared this?

i know when i did a DIY flush on the tranny a few thousand miles ago i had to add a little more than full for it to shift out of second. my dipstick was rite at the full mark and still would not shift, i added about another half of quart and boom shifting like a dream.
