Sometimes my power steering goes out when braking. Started mostly when pulling a load. Lately has begun doing it without a load. Power brakes go out at the same time. (it's a great feeling) Just topped off the brake fluid. Any other suggestions?
I believe there is a TSB out for this. One is for Power Steering - Fluid Discolored, Noise or High Effort
and the other is
Steering/Brakes - Brake Pedal Kick-Back/Grabbing
mine crapped out on my 08 twice. it would hardly steer and i had to put all my effort into the pedal to stop. get that power steering fixed asap before it gts worse. its actually a fairly common issue
check your power steering fluid...service mgr told me to over fill it...i checked and it was below the minimum....seems to effect your breaking as well.... :icon_ford: all my issues have now vanished
Good info in case that ever happens. Thanks :thumb:
